The weather was perfect for the event. 625 riders were enrolled through the website and another 88 riders enrolled on the day (713 total riders).
The day went off without any major incidents and RCOB have since received many compliments – a few we have reproduced below:
Another great event – congratulations! Colin Johnson
My son (11yrs) and myself (48yrs) have just completed the 15 miles 3CCR and we just wanted to say a big ‘thank you’ to all the organisers and marshals who were all so friendly and supportive. It was a really great event. It was also good that even the short route had its own challenge with the climb up Church Hill stretching our legs and my son was proud to cycle past adults who ended up walking it! My constructive feedback is: would it be possible, in future, to provide marshals with stocks of water bottles on route. We ran low of water and a marshal was happy to give some of her own supply but it would be reassuring to know that there was a good supply. Not a complaint but a suggestion. We will do the 33 miles route next year! Peter Savage.
Would just like to say what a fantastic day my brother and myself had on Sunday, it was a tough ish ride but it was very well marshalled with lots of lemon squash to drink on the way and every one was smiling. The weather may have had something to do with that but there was such a good atmosphere and the route was fantastic hardly any busy roads to contend with and lots of lovely country lanes. We will be back next year. Thank you for a well organised and fantastic day. Jean Collison.
Another great ride, thanks. Dale Birch.
Thank you so much for the organisation of yesterday’s event. Physically exhausting but a real thrill to take part, much of that down to your impeccable logistics. Now my admission…..I have failed to collect any sponsorship money but am more than happy to make a personal donation. How do I do that? Ewan Barbour
Many congratulations on yesterday’s event – so well organised, and signposted, and the weather too! This is I’m sure a massive task for you, and I guess that you’re exhausted today. Best regards David Marshall.
We all had a lovely day on Sunday and there seemed to be lots of cyclists. More than usual? John Fordham Easthampstead.
Thank you for another well run event. All marshals do a brilliant job. Steve Johnson.
