Mike Daley Joins RCOB


An enthusiastic round of applause greeted the induction of our latest new member Mike Daley when he officially joined our club on Tuesday 9th July. In welcoming him as a new Rotarian, President Alan explained that he was now a member of a world wide association of professional and business persons united in the ideal of service.

RCOB Election of Presidents 2013-14


President Alan Davis was persuaded to continue in office for a second year following the resignation of former Senior Vice President Steve Rakowski for personal reasons.


John Tobin is Senior Vice President and Diana Henfrey Junior Vice President for the Rotary year 2013/2014 respectively.

Heart Radio Interview


On Friday 1st March Alan Davis and Dave Donaldson were interviewed by Heart Radio. They presented a cheque for £1000 to them for their charity ‘Have a Heart’ from last year’s event and took the opportunity to promote this year’s Three Counties Cycle Ride which was held on Sunday 2nd June 2013. Burn’s Night Dinner 2013

2013 Rotary Club of Bracknell Burns Night


On Saturday 26th January 2013 the Rotary Club of Bracknell held a very successful Burn’s Night Dinner at the Flavell Suite, Sindlesham Court, attended by 88 people including District Governor Judith Diment with her husband Tony and Tina Peacock-Edwards, Co-ordinator of Help for Heroes in Berkshire and her husband Rick.

Dr Philip Lee Visit


In September 2012 our local Member of Parliament, Dr Philip Lee, who is also an Honorary Member of our club, came for lunch and gave us an insight into his work in the constituency and at the Palace of Westminster.

RCOB – 50 Years Young
